As part of the Gabriola Volunteer Fire Department's Open House this Saturday from 10-2 at the North fire hall, RDN staff and I will be present to promote emergency preparedness, in collaboration with many of our island's emergency-minded groups!

Between 1-1:30 pm, RDN staff member Melissa Tomlinson will give a powerpoint presentation (inside the fire hall) that explains how you and your family can prepare for major emergencies. The RDN will have copies of the Emergency Preparedness Workbook and demonstrations of what to put inside your Emergency Kit. ESS, PALS, and NEPP teams will also be available with displays and information.
